There are a number of trauma-sensitive schools training opportunities with Ms. Jen Alexander coming up this summer and beyond.
First, I will be facilitating my level I (exploring what works and why) and level II (creating an action plan for change) in Bettendorf, Iowa on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18, 2020.
Next, I am offering my level I, level II, and level III (meeting the needs of severely traumatized youth) training in Cedar Falls, Iowa at Hartman Reserve on Tuesday, June 23, Wednesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 25, 2020.
Sign up individuals or teams for one, two, or all three days. These seminars are designed for all certified and non-certified educators, including administrators. Practical suggestions are offered throughout and are applicable to teachers (as well as others).

Finally, consider inviting me to facilitate professional development for your school staff in the 2020/2021 school year. I would love to bring level I, II, and/or III to you. Several districts did that this school year with very positive feedback. I also offer sessions focused on professional self-care in addition to consultation that is individualized for your teams.
Next school year, I will have more time devoted to training and consultation, not only in Iowa but across the country. In fact, the first five school districts who schedule an at least 1.0 day on-site training session with me for the 2020/2021 school year will receive either two free hours of Zoom follow-up consultation or a 2.75 block of free in-person consultation (if it’s possible to schedule that in-person consultation on the day after your training) during that same school year.
Please reach out via MsJenAlexander@gmail.com for more information or with questions and have a great rest of the school year! 🙂
